Creations

For high school students ready to dance on the stage

Creations—a cornerstone of The Cowles Center’s nationally recognized Arts in Education program—empowers high school students to choreograph their own dances and make creative connections with their peers. This 15-day residency program ends with a culminating showcase on The Cowles Center’s stage for students to perform in a fully produced show for their families and friends. Creations is designed to meet the needs of students who:

• Have an interest in dance forms not taught at their school.

• May not have the financial means to afford extracurricular choreography workshops or performance opportunities.

• Want to learn choreography and/or perform.

• Are interested in dance but are underexposed to the breadth of styles and opportunities to engage in dance in Minnesota.
